Depleted Uranium in Modern US wars

USA use depleted uranium in very much of their ammunition in the gulf war of 1991 and also in the Iraq war in 2001. Uranium is a very heavy metal and is therefore useful in ammunition, since ammunition then penetrates tanks etc. Also the depleted uranium is pulverized into microscopic sized uranium dust after it hits the target. This radioactive dust is inhaled even through modern US gasmasks because of the small size of the dust particles.

Uranium has a half-life of millions of years. Thousands of US troops are today sick or dead due to diseases caused by continues radioactive exposure. The particles remain in their bodies. Particles have been found in their brain, their seaman, their bladder, their organs etc. Even their families suffer exposure today.

Since the half life is millions of years for Uranium. Iraq and Afghanistan and Bosnia will remain contaminated for millions of years. Children are today born in Iraq with no head or just as pieces of meat or with serious birth defects due to the radioactive exposure.

The desert storms will continue to spread the depleted uranium into food, water and air to contaminate the inhabitants of Iraq for millions of years. The crime committed by the US military is not only a genocide against Iraqi people that live today but also against thousands of future generations. They will be born with terrible birth defects and die.

None of this is heard about in the media and none seem to care. Is this how cold and soulless the population of the world has become. Are we so cowardice that we do not care as long as we are not ourselves in trouble?
